ELECTRIC PALLET JACK
Course Description:
This is a fully comprehensive course designed for experienced and Novice Electric Pallet Jack truck operators with the skills and knowledge necessary for a variety of responsibilities and function involved in the operation and maintenance of the Electric Pallet Jack. The training enforces the safety of the pedestrian and the operator. Pre-start up inspection and startup safety procedures, routine maintenance practice, and operating techniques are examined. This course is comprised of intensive classroom instruction, including discussion and a written test, as well as hands-on practical training and evaluation. At the conclusion of this program students should be able to demonstrate safe operation of forklift as required by the OSHA – Occupational Safety and Health Administration Standard CFR- 29 -1910-178.
Upon successful completion of the course, the operator will be presented with a lift truck certificate as proof of training
Course Duration:
- 4 hours Theory and at end of course an Operator Evaluation Test ) – ( For Experience Operators Only)
- 4 Hours of classroom and 8 Hours of practical hands on the electric pallet jack to allow for maximum operator interaction – ( For Novice Operators Only )

- Pedestrian awareness
- Basic principles: Electric Pallet Jack truck design and operation
- Parts of a truck/pre-shift inspection
- Operation of truck
- Fuel sources (battery)
- General safety rules/guidelines
- Summary (written test)
- Practical Operator evaluations Test– (Must Pass)

- extensive hands-on training and application
Evaluations:
- Must Pass Written Evaluation Test
- Must Pass an Operator Practical Evaluation Test
School Equipment: Students will have the opportunity to use the following school equipment as required throughtout the program: ELECTRIC PALLET JACK – Class III
