Forklift Class – I II III IV V VI VII

Course Description:

This is a fully comprehensive course designed for experienced and inexperienced forklift truck operators to develop the skills and knowledge necessary for a variety of responsibilities and functions involved in the operation and maintenance of the forklift. The training enforces the safety of the pedestrian and the operator. Pre-start up inspection and startup safety procedures, routine maintenance practice, and operating techniques are examined. This course is comprised of intensive classroom instruction, including video, discussion and a written test, as well as hands-on practical training and evaluation. At the conclusion of this program students should be able to demonstrate safe operation of forklift as required by the OSHA – Occupational Safety and Health Administration Standard CFR- 29 -1910-178.

Upon successful completion of the course, the operator will be presented with a lift truck certificate and license as proof of training.

Course Duration: 2-3 hours Theory and at end of course an Forklift Operator Evaluation Test.

School Equipment: Students will have the opportunity to use the following school equipment as required throughout the program: Sit-Down I/C Counterbalance class I -VII lift truck.
