Aerial Boom Lift
Course Description:
This is a fully comprehensive course designed for experienced and inexperienced Aerial lift truck operators to develop the skills and knowledge necessary for a variety of responsibilities and functions involved in the operation and maintenance of the Aerial lift. The training enforces the safety of the pedestrian and the operator. Pre-start up inspection and startup safety procedures, routine maintenance practice, and operating techniques are examined. This course is comprised of intensive classroom instruction, including discussion and a written test, as well as hands-on practical training and evaluation. At the conclusion of this program students should be able to demonstrate safe operation of Aerial Lift as required by the OSHA – Occupational Safety and Health Administration Standard CFR- 29 -1910.
Upon successful completion of the course, the operator will be presented with a Aerial lift certificate and license as proof of training.

- 1-2 hours hours Theory and at end of course an Operator Evaluation Test

- Introduction to OSHA / ANSI
- Standard Federal Requirements 29 CFR 1910
- Pedestrian awareness
- Basic principles: Aerial Lift design and operation
- Components of the Aerial Lift
- Operation of Aerial
- Fuel sources (battery and propane and Diesel / Gasoline)
- General safety rules/guidelines
- Summary (written test)
- Practical Operator evaluations Test (Must Pass)

Evaluations:
- Must Pass Written Evaluation Test

School Equipment: Students will have the opportunity to use the following school equipment as required throughtout the program: Aerial lift truck
Class Size: Classes generally range in size from 1 to 15 students
